Stockholm, Sweden

About the Scandinavian city

Uncovering Stockholm’s unique mix of historic charm and modern elegance

Stockholm, Sweden’s vibrant capital, is a city where history and modernity coexist in perfect harmony. With its stunning archipelago, cobblestone streets, and sleek design, Stockholm offers an experience like no other. The city is spread across 14 islands, each offering something unique – from the medieval charm of Gamla Stan to the trendy boutiques and cafes of Södermalm. A visit to the Vasa Museum, home to a 17th-century warship, is a must, as is a leisurely stroll through the lush greenery of Djurgården. Whether you’re exploring world-class museums, savoring Swedish cuisine, or cruising through the picturesque waterways, Stockholm’s beauty and charm are sure to captivate any traveler.

Getting from the Airport to the City

I generally take Uber which is the most convenient one and costs around 40-50 Euros depending on where you want to go in the city.

There is excellent train connectivity also from inside the airport and that is the fastest and cheapest option. Train takes only 18 minutes from ARL to City centre and from there you can catch a bus, metro to exact location.

Details: Arlanda Express, 340 SEK one way

For the public transport, one can use the SL app to buy the tickets and check the route. Details Below under "Getting Around" section
